Monica Ballen serves as the Manager of Certification & Sourcing at WBEC Greater DMV, where she leads initiatives to support and connect certified women-owned businesses with sourcing opportunities across the region. In her role, she manages the certification process with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and a deep commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs through access and opportunity.

Prior to this position, Monica worked as a Certification Coordinator at WBEC Greater DMV, where she provided personalized support to women business owners navigating the certification process. Her professional background spans human resources, project management, and retail management, equipping her with a well-rounded and adaptable skill set. Monica holds a B.A. in International Business from Augustinian University. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, volunteering, and spending time outdoors.
