Expert Guidance: WBEC Metro NY and Greater DMV's Sage Advice Program

SAGE Advice is a collaborative partnership between Capital One and WBEC Metro NY and Greater DMV, established to develop and enable small business enterprise owners to grow through customized sessions delivered by successful women business owners and Capital One associates.

Through targeted and timely workshops and speaker sessions, WBEs will:

  • Participate in targeted workshops and speaker sessions designed for Women Business Enterprises (WBEs).
  • Explore effective strategies to accurately identify your ideal target markets and customers.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of your business finances for better decision-making.
  • Learn how to market your business and emphasize its unique value and offerings.
  • Dive into important topics such as ESG/Sustainability.
  • Understand HR dynamics in the workplace.
  • Develop skills for building valuable contacts and mastering negotiation tactics.
  • And much more to empower and grow your business!

SAGE 2025 is structured in 6-month blocks year-round. The DMV cohort will meet January 2025-June 2025, and the NY cohort will meet July 2025-December 2025. Sessions will be held approximately every six weeks, for two days in-person at the Capital One offices, for a total of four sessions per cohort.

**Please note, if you choose to apply to the program, and are accepted, you must commit to participating in every session.**

SAGE Advice participants are expected to:

  • Attend and actively engage in all in-person
  • Submit a one-time $125 program fee
  • Engage one time per month with a Capital One Business Resource Partner (BRP) for a one-on-one conversation
  • Complete occasional assignments between sessions
