His responsibilities encompass a wide range of procurement activities\, including vendor sourcing\, purchasing\, vendor contracts\, and supplier diversity for the property. He is dedicated to ensuring that MGM Yonkers consistently meets or exceeds its spending goals with certified diverse suppliers. With a career spanning 43 years in the Hospitality Business\, including 5 years with MGM Yonkers and 23 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain management\, Mr. Hafizur brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. Prior to joining MGM Yonkers\, he managed 3 hotels and 5000 apartments with the Jack Parker Corporation and the Meridien Hotel. Mr. Hafizur holds degrees in Accounting and Economics and is certified by the C.P.D. Cornell University School of Hotel Administration\, located in Ithaca\, New York.  \n \nTobias Thornwell\, Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager \nTobias Thornwell is the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager for MGM Resorts. He is responsible for developing and overseeing all procurement activities including vendor sourcing\, purchasing\, vendor contracts\, and supplier diversity for the property. Mr. Thornwell is focused on ensuring that MGM Resorts continues to meet or exceed its spending goals with certified diverse suppliers with the State of\nMaryland and Prince George’s County.
