DESCRIPTION:Lunch with the Experts: Meet Dominion Energy: Corporate Connections\n12pm to 1pm ET \n  \n \n  \nPlease join WBEC Metro New York and Corporate Member Dominion Energy for a Corporate Connections session. Dominion Energy will be discussing upcoming procurement opportunities\, how to engage with Dominion Energy procurement professionals\, and what WBEs need to know to be procurement ready. \nDallas Simmons\, Supplier Diversity Program Manager – SCM Procurement and Center of Excellence  \nDallas Simmons is the Supplier Diversity Program Manager in the SCM Procurement and Center of Excellence Department with Dominion Energy\, Inc. As Supplier Diversity Program Manager\, he is responsible for promoting and implementing Dominion Energy’s Supplier Diversity strategy as well as driving value enhancement in supply chain management strategies.  He is the primary contact with external Supplier Diversity Advocacy Groups\, Diverse Suppliers\, and peer Utility Supplier Diversity professionals.   \n Dallas joined Dominion Energy in 2001 as a Manager – Accounting.  He became Manager – Accounting Services in 2003\, Project Manager – Six Sigma in 2006 and Manager – Shareholder Services in 2009.  He assumed his current post in 2016.  Before joining Dominion Energy\, Dallas served as Comptroller for Virginia Union University from 1990-2000.  As Comptroller he oversaw the University’s Accounting\, Financial Aid and Student Accounts departments.  Prior to joining the administration at Virginia Union in 1990\, Dallas worked in the corporate accounting department for Duke Energy in Charlotte\, NC.  In that role he was responsible for preparing the company’s monthly income statement and balance sheet as well as analyzing monthly earnings for upper management.    \nDallas received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from North Carolina Central University and he is a Certified Public Accountant.
