\n\t\n\tIn the wake of WBENC’s most successful national conference to date, our celebration was cut short by the devastating and unexpected loss of our beloved national president, Pam Prince-Eason. Her passing has left an immeasurable void in our organization and the broader community of women entrepreneurs she championed so fiercely.<\/p>\n
Pam was more than a leader-she was a transformational force who redefined what it meant to advocate for women in business. As the undisputed champion of women business owners across the United States, she wielded her influence with remarkable grace, combining unwavering strength and visionary leadership with genuine compassion and authentic kindness. Her approach was both powerful and personal, creating connections that transcended traditional business relationships.<\/p>\n\t
Under Pam’s extraordinary stewardship, WBENC experienced unprecedented growth, expanding its reach and deepening its impact in ways that seemed impossible just years before. But perhaps her greatest achievement was not measured in numbers or metrics-it was the vibrant, supportive community she fostered. She had an exceptional gift for bringing people together, creating a network where women entrepreneurs didn’t just survive, but flourished together.<\/p>\n\t
Pam’s vision extended far beyond organizational success. She dreamed of a world where women-owned businesses weren’t just participants in the economy, but driving forces that shape industries and communities. Her belief in this possibility was infectious, inspiring countless entrepreneurs to reach higher and dream bigger.<\/p>\n\t
The magnitude of her loss is matched only by the strength of her legacy. The foundation she built, the relationships she nurtured, and the pathways she created will continue to empower women entrepreneurs for generations to come. While her physical presence can never be replaced, her spirit lives on in every woman who dares to start a business, every contract awarded to a women-owned firm, and every barrier broken in boardrooms across the nation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t
For many of us, we are also mourning the death of a dear friend. Pam’s success and legacy is in no small part due to how she created a family of which we all wanted to be a part. When I joined the WBENC board, she brought me into the family, was generous with her time, and was always game for a laugh, and I will deeply miss how when she spoke with someone she made them feel they were the only person in the room.<\/p>\n\t
As the WBEC NY & DMV board and staff, we are deeply committed to honoring Pam’s memory not through words alone, but through action. We pledge to carry forward her unwavering dedication to excellence, continuing to provide the highest caliber of support, resources, and advocacy that women entrepreneurs in our region deserve.<\/p>\n\t
