Charles M. Spearman

Charles is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Global Talent and Diversity and Inclusion. He is responsible for the development and implementation of firm-wide Talent and Diversity and Inclusion strategies, Vendor Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity compliance.

Charles serves on Guggenheim’s Steering Committee’s of the Women’s Innovation and Inclusion Network (WIIN); the Multicultural Employee Business Network (MEBN); the Veterans Initiative Advisory Committee; the Vendor Diversity Advisory Council; the Law and Regulatory Compliance Diversity Council; Guggenheim’s Pro Bono Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee.

Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners, he was the founder and principal of Tucker Spearman and Associates, Inc., an EEO and Inclusion management company. A frequent speaker before industry leaders on compliance and inclusion trends, Charles has been quoted by Time magazine and has presented at the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and U.S. EEOC TAPS programs for public and private sector officials in designing EEO compliance programs. Charles has provided expert witness testimony on the integrity of harassment prevention systems and investigations in employment harassment litigation and has authored papers on these topics. His clients have included corporations, universities, government institutions and professional associations such as the Urban Land Institute, the National Association of Attorneys General, Guggenheim Partners, Footlocker, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen Group of America, the Mid- Atlantic Coca Cola Bottling Group, American University, U.S. DOJ, U.S. HUD, and the U.S.P.S.

Charles is a founding member and trustee of the Alliance of Securities and Financial Educators (ASAFE), an alliance of volunteers that facilitates and provides design and delivery of securities and finance curriculum and leadership development to diverse student and faculty audiences. Charles serves on the Board of the COMMIT Foundation, which creates tailored transition solutions for top veteran talent and he also serves on the Board of the New York New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council. Charles served on the faculty at Georgetown University’s Master of Professional Studies in Human Resources Management. Charles has taught courses at Cornell University’s Industrial and Labor Relations School. He is also a former President and Board Member of SCAN, Stop Child Abuse Now of Northern Virginia. Charles served as a federally appointed senior advisor to a Commissioner at the EEOC and served in various leadership roles at the Texas Department of Commerce and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
